Adam Robertson

'The Bell County Chamber is designed to be 0 one-stop for businesses in the Tri-State area. The Chamber brings together organizations focused on providing advice, council and services to entrepreneurs, start-ups, small businesses, large businesses, professionals and relocating or expanding companies. Since I have been involved with the Chamber, I have seen this first-hand.

Joining the Chamber is a great way for businesses to be involved in our community. The Chamber can use its many resources to help businesses of any size. In turn, those businesses can be a part of helping improve the lives of all Bell Countians."

Adam is an Executive Vice President with Commercial Bank. He has a B.A. from Belmont University and is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University.

Adam also serves on the Board of Directors for Pine Mountain Community Development Corporation and Outdoor Truths Ministries. Adam and his wife, Cindi, reside in Speedwell, TN with their children Olivia and Noah. They are active members of Pump Springs Baptist Church.

 

Bo Green

Bo Green is the Vice President of Green Construction where he specializes in commercial and industrial general contracting, construction management and design-build projects.  He is a graduate of Middlesboro High School and attended the University of Kentucky where he earned a Masters Degree in Business Administration along with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering.  He enjoys being involved with community service projects and organizations.  He currently serves as President of the Bell County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors along with being an active member of ROHO, Kiwanis and a Director for AGC of Kentucky. 

 "The Bell County Chamber of Commerce is a great tool for local businesses.  It provides companies with invaluable resources along with a voice for pressing issues.  It also works hard to promote the local area, the local businesses and improve the overall standard of living in Bell County.  Local businesses should strive to take advantage of what the Chamber has to offer."

 

Charles L Burchfield, JR

"It's such an exciting time to be involved with the Chamber.  The cooperation between the cities of Middlesboro and Pineville to promote Bell County has been truly inspiring.  I'm proud of the citizens of Bell County and look forward to working with them in the future."

Charles Burchfield is a native of Bell County, KY.  He is married to Gina Younker Burchfield who is employed by the Social Security Administration in Harlan, Kentucky.  He has three children: Chuck- 24, Chelsea- 17, and Conner- 13.

Charles has worked at the Middlesboro mall for 26 years and is now employed by Ershig Properties, Inc. as a property manager for Middlesboro Mall in Middlesboro, KY and Ken's Plaza located in Johnson City, TN.  He is a volunteer with the March of Dimes and a member of the Middlesboro Kiwanis Club. He is an active member of the Poorfork Church of Christ where he is a Sunday school teacher for the adult ladies class and also teaches at monthly youth meetings.

 

Colby Slusher

Born and raised Bell Countian graduated from Pineville High School and later Lincoln Memorial University with a bachelor's degree in Business and Accounting. Slusher has owned and operated several businesses in Bell and Knox counties including several video stores and a furniture store. 

In 2006, Slusher was elected Bell County Circuit Court Clerk, making him the youngest ever elected in the history of Kentucky at the age of 23.

Slusher resides in Pineville Kentucky and continues to be involved in the region. Slusher serves on the Pineville Kiwanis Club/ Past President, is on the Bell County Literacy Council, is on the Board of Directors for the Cumberland River Comprehensive Care Center, is a member of the Kentucky Association of Circuit Court Clerks, is the 2010 chairperson for the Kentucky Mountain Laurel Festival, and is an active member of the West Pineville Baptist Church.

 

Corey Napier E.I.

Corey graduated from the University of Kentucky's College of Engineering in 2006.  Once out of college he returned home to work for Vaughn and Melton Consulting Engineers, there he has become part of a team that has completed various projects that have enhanced our community's way of life.  Corey is also an active member of the Kentucky Society of Professional Engineers, National Society of Professional Engineers, as well as the coordinator of our local Mathcounts Competition.

 

Deborah Evans

Deborah is the Quality Director at Pineville Community Hospital where she has worked for the last 33 years.  She is married to Charles Evans and has 2 sons, Geoff and Jonathan

 

Janet Jackson

is the Workforce Investment Act Youth Director for Bell-Whitley Community Action Agency.  She is a graduate from Union College with a Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Business Administration.  She has a Master's level certification as a Global Career Development Facilitator. 

Janet is a native of Bell County, Kentucky.  She is married to Bo Jackson who is owner/operator of Mike's Produce Company.  Together they have one son, Tanner age 11.

Janet currently serves on the Leadership Bell County Steering Committee.  She is actively involved with Bell County Relay for Life, Pride, Unite, Mountain Laurel Festival, Repair Affair and Lone Jack School Center PTSA.  She has served on the Bell County Board of Education Facilitating Committee and Leadership Planning Committee, as well as Site Base Decision Making Council.

 

Michael Slusher

Michael Slusher is the Community CEO of Middlesboro ARH Hospital, having served in that role since September 28, 2009.  Mike is a native of southwest Ohio but his paternal grandfather was born in Bell County.  Mike has a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Health Administration from The Ohio State University and is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE).   Mike has nearly 25 years of healthcare management and leadership experience in community hospitals as well as academic medical centers.

 

Richard Smith

"I feel it is important to give back to the community & one of the best ways is to be involved in helping to build a better community for our children. The Chamber works with local business & government to accomplish this. With all of us working together we can continue to sustain the growth needed to support our businesses far into the future."

Richard and his wife, Wendy, have been married for 21 years. They have 2 daughters, Courtney, 19 and Gabrielle, 14.

Richard has been a store manager with Food City for 18 years, 14 of those in Middlesboro. Some of Richard's accomplishments as Store Manager include winner of the first Bring Home a Winner Display contest & the past two Treasure Hunt display contests, Presidents award for turnover reduction and Divisional winner of Claude P Varney Volunteerism Award.

Richard serves as Chairman of the Salvation Army Advisory Board; he is a past member of Kentucky Statewide Council for Vocational Rehabilitation, and past president of Middlesboro Kiwanis. Richard was also Logistics Chairman for the American Cancer Society.

 

Stephen Eastin

"I am grateful for the opportunity to serve on the Bell County Chamber Board.  Having only lived in Bell County for a little over a year, I can already appreciate our potential and opportunity for growth in this community.  I look forward to working with Rob and Candice and helping them reach their 2010 goals."

Stephen is a native of Bowling Green, KY and a graduate of Western Kentucky University.  He has held several positions while being employed by Commonwealth of KY

Park Manager, Pine Mountain State Resort Park. 

Youth Worker 3, Department of Juvenile Justice at the Warren Regional Juvenile Detention Center. 

Fitness Center Manager, Lake Barkley State Resort Park.

Assistant Park Manager, Barren River Lake State Resort Park

Acting Park Manager, Lake Cumberland State Resort Park for 5 months.

Currently he serves as the Park Manager, Pine Mountain State Resort Park.

Member of the Tourism Board for Bell County

 

Teresa Francis

"Having the opportunity to serve on the Bell County Chamber of Commerce Board is an honor for me.  The Chamber is a valuable component of our community.  Serving as a board member enables one to work with the community to contribute, facilitate, and promote solutions for the enrichment of the citizens of Bell County."

Teresa is the Chief Financial Officer of First State Financial, Inc.  Her career began with First State Financial in 1996.  She graduated from LMU in 2004 with a Bachelor in Accounting.  In 2007, she completed Graduate School of Banking in Colorado.  Teresa and her husband, Jeff, moved to Middlesboro in 1991.  They were both originally from Hazard, Kentucky.  Jeff is the Sherwin Williams' Professional Coating Sales Representative for Southeastern Kentucky, parts of Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.  They have 2 children:  Eric, age 15, and Emily, age 12. Teresa and her family have made Middlesboro their home and have been so pleased that the community has accepted them with open arms.  "We love it here and could never imagine leaving.  As each year passes, we continue to be more involved with our community and look forward to many happy years here in Bell County".
