It is quite an honor to serve on the Bell County Chamber of Commerce which has such a rich history of service to this community. Within my own family history, my grandparents, mother and uncles have all been active in Chamber activities in their own communities so it is with an appreciation of the importance of our Chamber that I promote and connect our local businesses in order to improve our community - not just for today, but so we can create a thriving business economy for our future generations.

After moving with my family to Bell County in the early 1990s, I came quickly to appreciate the beauty and unique qualities of this area. The genuine friendships I have developed continue to be treasured.

While it has been a privilege to serve the citizens of our community as a two-term Middlesboro City Councilman, I chose not to seek re-election this year in order to devote my time and energy to the continued growth and development of a strong and vibrant Chamber of Commerce. My work with the Chamber allows me to continue working with the Bell County Industrial Foundation which oversees three Industrial Parks.

Having been blessed in so many ways, it is important to me to be able to give back through service to our city, community and county in every way possible.

Being apart of the Chamber of Commerce allows me to be involved in the community. I think it is very important for businesses to be involved with the Chamber to build and advertise their businesses. The Chamber helps the community grow and will assist businesses with specific needs. We support Bell County and are here to help.”

Candice is a native of Bell County, Kentucky. She graduated from Middlesboro High School in 2004. In 2005 she attended Southeast Community and Technical College for two years graduating with her Associates Degree. Upon graduation she began working for Community Trust Bank. In September 2007 she was given the opportunity to begin working at the Bell County Chamber of Commerce as the Administrative Assistant.

While working at the Bell County Chamber of Commerce, she is actively involved with the Cumberland Mountain Fall Festival, and is currently the Co-Chair in 2010. She is also a 2008 graduate of Leadership Bell County. She has participated with Bell County Relay for Life in the past and plans to be active with the event in the future.
