A key component of Bell County’s Strategic Marketing and Brand Development Plan is the development of a new brand identity/logo and theme or descriptor line for Bell County.  This new brand identity will be used to generate greater awareness and understanding of the county and its economic and tourism development efforts. 

 

The new Bell County “Brand” will be used to unify the county, pulling the cities and various county organizations together under one strong common brand. 

 

For over three years, leaders in government, business, education and concerned citizens have conducted community meetings in an effort to shape the future of Bell County.  The strategic marketing and brand development plan and the planning process are examples of this countywide cooperation and effort. 

 

“Designing Bell County” is another opportunity for residents throughout the county to contribute and participate in the future of Bell County.  This design competition is open to any resident of Bell County.  Participants will be expected to design a new brand identity/logo that they feel best represents Bell County.  Submissions should also include suggestions for a theme or descriptor line that will be used with the brand identifier/logo. 

 

Timing – The design competition begins immediately, the deadline for submissions is November 1, 2011. 

 

Judging – A panel of Bell County citizens will serve as judges for the competition.  From all the submissions, a slate of finalists will be selected.  The finalists’ designs will be publically displayed in community venues throughout the county over the next couple months.  The public will have the opportunity to vote for the design and theme line they feel best represents Bell County. 

 

Final Design – The final winner will be announced and the design unveiled publically in mid-December, 2011. 

 

Award – It will be a welcome surprise.
